The shelter burned.
The flames rumbled.
They rumbled like a freight train.
They sucked at the air.
The flames rumbled and sucked through the air like a freight train as the flame burned through out the shelter.
The shelter was burning with rumbling flames that seemed like a freight train as it sucked through the air.
